Safeguarding Information for Service Users, Families and Carers

Your Safety Matters

At Solutions 4 Health, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive environment for everyone who uses our services. We believe that every person has the right to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness, and to live free from abuse, neglect, discrimination and exploitation.

We take all safeguarding concerns seriously and encourage anyone to speak up if they are worried about the safety or wellbeing of themselves or someone else.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting children, young people and adults at risk from abuse, neglect, exploitation and harm. It also means ensuring that people receive safe, effective and person-centred care.

Types of Abuse

Abuse can happen anywhere and may be carried out by anyone, including staff, volunteers, family members, friends or other service users. Abuse may include:

  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional or psychological abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Financial or material abuse
  • Neglect or acts of omission
  • Discriminatory abuse
  • Domestic abuse
  • Modern slavery
  • Organisational or institutional abuse
  • Self-neglect (where appropriate)

  • A member of staff
  • A volunteer

  • A visitor
  • A family member or carer
  • Any other person

please tell someone as soon as possible.

You can report your concerns to:

  • Take your concerns seriously.
  • Keep information confidential wherever possible.

  • Keep you informed, where appropriate, about what happens next.

You will never be ignored because you raised a genuine concern.

Will I Get Into Trouble?

No. We encourage people to speak up if they are worried. Raising a safeguarding concern helps to keep everyone safe.

We will never treat anyone unfairly for reporting concerns honestly and in good faith.
